Description: The Woodbridge is situated on the banks of the River Severn, a mile downstream from Ironbridge in Shropshire. There are lots of interesting corners and nooks to squirrel away in, or more open, buzzy areas if you're in a more gregarious mood. For sunny days, we have a large terrace and extensive gardens on the banks of the river.

What a great place to have a relaxing dinner with friends and family. The food was excellent, from the fish and chips to the lamb shoulder. Our server was terrific, knowing how to pace the meal and interacting well with us. The restaurant is right on the Severn River, so the ambience is great!

It’s lication every time with the Woodbridge. The views as you sit on the decking are great, the river the beige, they all take great shots. The food isn’t bad but allow plenty of time for service as it seats many people on a busy day and you don’t want the wait to ruin the visit. They do try very hard with this business and often have live music on outside, bouncy castles and bbq food, yes I’d say it’s a place that is fun and I have always enjoyed going. Xxx

Spacious, airy and relaxed. Had a pleasant family lunch here with toddler & baby. The staff were patient & helpful. The food arrived promptly and was well presented. And all reasonably priced. The position is wonderful with great views of the Severn.

W e visited here one evening after exploring Ironbridge area and we were not disappointed. Situated in a stunning little valley overlooking the river in a quiet spot. Plenty of car parking spaces. We sat outside in the sun, but it looked like there was plenty of space inside to spread out. The scampi was superb as was the burger and fish that our group ordered. Quick service and reasonable price. The kitchen did lose a childs food order, but was quickly rectified by the bar staff. Our nephew got stung by a wasp and the staff were quick to offer ice and generally check he was ok. Go visit if your in the area.

We walked to The Woodbridge specifically for lunch although were not particularly hungry when we arrived. My friend a lite bite of sourdough bread with garlic mushrooms and salad, whilst I had a starterof cauliflower pakora with Asian slaw. I have to sa6 the Asian slaw was a disappointment as mayonnaise had been substituted for lime juice but there was no flavouring, especially Asian, which 8 would have expected. Other than that, food and service wonderful.

Disabled toilets smelled disgusting!
