We spent 4 nights here as part of an organised short break. The room was very comfortable. My only niggle was the absence of a grab rail in the shower over the bath. The only thing to steady one when getting out was an overhead towel rail, too high for me to use.
The food was generally good, although it was not easy to find everything at breakfast.I would happily stay here again.

Stayed: September 2017

Good hotel - as you would expect from the Crown Plaza brand. Had robes and slippers in room which was a nice touch -
Didn't eat in the restaurant but had late night snacks in the bar, pizza and sweet potato fries and these were v good.

Parking is at a discounted rate for hotel residents £7, you need to enter your reg no on screen in reception. Spaces are a bit tight and there are lots of pillars

Check in was very easy and straightforward, as was the parking. We were booked in to room 819, a quiet room and first impressions when we got to the room were, wow! The bed was humongous the styling very modern and a lovely view from the window.

The staff all through out our stay were friendly and helpful, from Carlos at reception the room staff, bar staff everyone. We didn't eat at the hotel we had a coffee in the bar lovely attentive service and much more enjoyable than any of the franchise coffee shops.

We had a great deal but would love to go back look out for the little treat of pillow spray and relaxation box, bar of chocolate, bottles of water, dressing gowns and slippers.

Would strongly recommend staying at this hotel within easy walking of the main centre theatre and restaurants.

Room Tip: 8th floor was quiet 819 had nice view

Arrived at hotel around midday. Advised room wouldn’t be ready till 3pm. This was fine and we already knew check in wasn’t until 3pm. However, after a lovely afternoon spent wandering the town, arrived back at 4:10pm, only to be told room is still not ready. Offered complimentary drinks, and told to wait in the bar. Still waiting at 4:45pm, with 2 failed check in attempts!! Surely it doesn’t take that long to get a room ready! A little bit disappointed by the check in at this hotel so far......hopefully the room is worth the wait!!
