Spent one night with friends on 1st february. Nice individual hotel unlike some of the corporate giants which are soulless. Comfortable clean rooms, all different,in the centre of Harrogate. Very friendly staff. Absolutely excellent food and the entertainement worth listening to,very good. What more could you ask?

Had a very enjoyable meal with a friend the other Sunday evening, on the spur of the moment. The live jazz was very pleasant although the restaurant and bar were not very busy (a pity). Food of a very good standard though expensive at £16 for a main course. Fortunately we obtained a "Gourmet Society" 25% discount off the whole bill for food and drinks, which made the total charge reasonable, bearing in mind the pleasant ambiance/character of the premises and the entertainment provided. Would definitely go again - it's quite a gem of a place really and the service is excellent. Amazingly for a ritzy place of this kind, a handpump serving a well kept real ale (Hambleton Best Bitter) was present and added to the enjoyment of the evening.

Room Tip: I didn't stay here - simply visited as as diner.

Been here three times to stay and 3-4 other times to eat. Always had a great experience. Food really good - not flash - but tasty and smells and looks good. Breakfast always fresh cooked and not a bloody buffet with greasy eggs! all cooked to order.
Dinner good and great simple pricing, £5 starter and £16 for a main - might seem a little high, but alway sreally good- and you do get what you pay for!
Rooms (Been in three different ones) are all good., clean, lots of very hot water.
Some parking - worth pre-booking a space.
Will always go here as opposed to the "double the price" Hotel du Vin
Have recommended to friends - who also had great experience.

Room Tip: They are all individual, so not sure! - Ask for one at the back perhaps - as quieter?

On the advice of the wife of a co-worker, I took some people visiting from the US to the Brasserie for dinner. We arrive before 7pm and got a great deal on the Early Bird Specials. The food was great, and I have been dreaming of another serving of dessert from this restaurant! Hoping to go back soon for my Birthday dinner.

I have been staying at this hotel on and off over the last 4 years or so,and every visit cheers me up.
There is a theme to this hotel you have to stay to appreciate, every room is different, but the comfort is always the same, first class
While I have stayed here there have been live Jazz/Blues music being played live in the restaurant to a high standard, the barman, Michael, is very good and helpful,(don't share your crossword with him)
The food is excellent, and the breakfast very good.
On Wednesday I stayed in the Garden room,it is very spacious and the bathroom is tremendous, there is a bit of noise from above as the kitchen is there, but nothing to really bother you.
The hotel has it's own car parking, and is very central to all the amenities of Harrogate
All in all this is a great hotel to stay in,and I will be back

Room Tip: Any room, they are all different, and lovely
