We visited Cedar cottage for a long weekend with our two dogs, on arrival we were shown around the premises, how to use the hot tub and how to get to Brimham rocks and Millennium wood (for the dogs toilet breaks) Our old English Bull Terrier loved the millennium wood its a great facility to have! A nice touch was the bottle of wine and chocolates, thank you!
The cottage was small and cosy, well equipped with everything you could need, yes the cottage is small but it is more than adequate for two people. The cottage was clean however at a higher level (lighting) and above the bed could do with de cob-webbing and de flying, some of the paint was flaking away and could do with touching up and the bed was very springy but on the whole we were very happy. The only downside for us is the noise of the central heating in the Cedar cottage as the cottage is directly next to the boiler room.
We found the owner (David) to be friendly and personable and his dogs are lovely! On the first night the hot tub had been over filled and we couldn't use it but David was extremely apologetic and did everything he could to try and sort it for us.
The hot tub was fab! Always ready for you to have a relaxing half an hour with a glass of wine.
The Half Moon pub down the road was lovely, very friendly welcoming people with large portions, very goof value for money and dog friendly. Only two vegetarian options but its Yorkshire!
Pateley village is lovely, nice to spend a few hours in the shops and the little tea shops. Also the Sawley Arms in Sawley (not dog friendly) excellent food and atmosphere!
Overall the area is beautiful, very quiet and secluded, perfect if your looking to unwind. We would visit again, Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Cedar cottage bedroom is large, light and airy. A cottage is a cottage not a mansion! If your expecting 5* go to a hotel instead!

We Stayed In Oak cottage 4th-8th April with 5 kids, plenty of space a lovely cottage and very well equipped. The games room was great for the kids as was the lovely swimming pool and hot tub . A very nice peaceful place and in a great location with just a short walk to the rocks themselves.
The owners were very approachable and helpful, we hope to visit again as a great value holiday

Had an amazing weekend staying in the Lilac cottage with our 2 dogs. Hot tub is amazing, clean and well looked after. Cottage is warm, comfortable and cosy. Has everything you need, fridge, microwave, oven, plenty of cupboard space and utensils. Previous comments have said it is outdated, however we are late 20's and we both agreed the cottage's decor was lovely. The only thing that was slightly tired was the sofa but we thought it was fine. Dogs had a lovely time and enjoyed walking up to Brimham rocks. The pub (the half moon) is small but full of character. Food portions are amazing and are really yummy! Judith and David were both warm, welcoming and very helpful with directions and where to go etc. We will defo be back and next time bringing our little boy! Thanks for a great stay!

I booked this break just a few weeks ago, out of season so we got a really good deal.
Arriving at tea time we were shown round the cottage which is cozy but by no means pokey. A large living area and big bedroom. Perfect for two people. Outside there is a small garden area looking out over the fields and you can see brimham rocks.

The highlight for us was the hot tub. From early morning dips to evening relaxation.
There is also a communal pool and games area with table tennis, table football and a pool table shared between the cottages.

There is a nice pub just a mile or so away and plenty of places to visit nearby.
We had a cracking time and thoroughly recommend it.

We visited for 4 nights last week, myself, husband, 9 year old and our German shepherd. We had a great week it was lovely and quiet surroundings. We stayed in the Rowan cottage with a private hot tub which was a great extra. There are plenty of walks out nearby for us to take the dog. It was our first trip away with the dog and we found they were very welcome around the site with an enclosed area especially for them. The pool and games room proved a very helpful source of entertainment on our rainy day there. Staff there were very friendly and easy to get hold of should we have needed anything. Definitely somewhere we would visit again. Cosy cottages in a beautiful setting!
