We recently attended a wedding at the Riverbank. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel has a very nice entrance.
The meal was excellent. Great food with great service.
We even got a good night's sleep as the bedrooms are well away from the function room.
After a great breakfast we left the hotel in good form despite having a very enjoyable function. The wedding was a wonderful experience and this was helped by the very good food and service provided by the hotel. Well done

The staff, especially the receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The manager (think h was manager) could be a bit more friendly - not that he wasn't friendly, just quiet, perhaps.
The hotel is undergoing renovation but not obtrusive.
The food's good and plentiful.
Room was spacious and clean.
Good breakfast.
There's an overall feeling of calm in this hotel.
My only niggle is, limited parking. There is pay parking opposite, which isn't dear.
If you're looking for a high-tech, modern, with leisure centre, then this hotel isn't for you.
We'd deffo stay here again.

Dear Bernadette G, apologies for the delay in responding to your recent review. Thank you for your fair and balanced review, I'm smiling as I write wondering if it was me, the quiet manager, I'm normally the loud one but perhaps caught me deep in thought? All the same, apologies, nothing should distract from giving a smile and welcome to every guest.

Our stage of renovation is complete from when you were here I'm happy to say and glad it was not too much of a disruption.

You are right, we are an old boutique style hotel, while we love kids are more of a couples hotel in need of a good central location but without the noise.

Hopefully you will stay with us again when next in Wexford.

Best wishes and thank you again.

Kind regards,

Colm Campbell

So we were a little surprised to have the kind of reception that rock stars might get ( except for a spare place in the car park) hundreds of people, men women and children, poised waiting for ?us?.....And a red carpet up to reception...but it seems that they were all waiting for the youngsters graduation night and the finery. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, youngest daughter was on crutches after a broken leg, they let us take the disabled carpark for the night, and organised a shower chair for her. Rooms were nice enough without being things to rave about, however the staff was enough to compensate. Had a lovely meal in the bar once the "kiddies" had retired upstairs to the function. Everything clean and well maintained. Didn't get to explore Wexford as we would have liked, due to daughter on crutches. Maybe next time

Room Tip: just check what functions are happening, it is very popular and can be noisy

Dear wineandcheesedayz, apologies for the delay in responding to your recent review. I appreciate you taking time to write your review and for your honest opinion.

I apologise the Graduation took away from your experience, we would host about 6 of these each year in August mid-Week. They are unlike any other function as understandable the area outside the hotel becomes a public viewing gallery for the the dresses and style. It is a unique function, this does not happen for any other.

You mentioned dome lovely comments about my colleagues and hotel, i am very appreciative and happy to pass on. Perhaps next time in Wexford will call to us again, we will be happy to advice should there be a graduation on.

Best wishes and thank you again.

As has been mentioned in previous reviews, there is little parking at the hotel, however there is plenty across the road which is paid for. The hotel it self is a fabulous place with lush greenery inside and outside. Being situated next to a main road there is little noise and the hotel seems well insulated from the outside noise. When the sun goes down in the evening the sunset can be see from the bar and watched you eat dinner or just have a drink. The reason for only a 3/5 rating was that the room had no air movement and was extremely hot. We opened a window and there seemed to be no change, when checked the window opened into a conservatory with no windows. Unable to have a good sleep ruined the visit for us, if it wasn't for this we would have given a 5/5.

Dear kiwixplore, apologies for the delay in responding to your recent review. You have been very kind, giving a balanced review given the hot evening and disturbed sleep you still went out of your way to review the positives, this is very much appreciated.

I always view the main part of a hotel stay is to sleep, I apologie most sincerely we let you down here. I have learned, on nights like these to open the windows of the conservatory thereby creating the draft you would need on a night like that. I sorry, you would not have been aware these windows open so will be more mindful in future for our guests.

Thank you again for your lovely review.
