Dinner was really tasty and service was excellent. Unfortunately the Ballast Bar was bordering on chilly and lacked any atmosphere. No background music but yet the toilets had Christmas songs playing away !!!More

I have stayed many times at the Talbot Hotel and apartments and have never been disappointed. The facilities are consistently nice, the bar and restaurant excellent. But I find that the staff is what makes the hotel shine the most. In addition to traditional Irish hospitality there is a desire to really excel. I particularly saw this when I made a small party in the bar for a friend receiving his Irish citizenship. The team found us the nicest table, helped to decorate and were as excited as I was for the event….makes one feel at home.

Staff were exceptional from check in to check out, really friendly and assisted with some last minute bookings of other services in the Hotel. Hotel ticked every box in terms of expectation and location was perfect.

My wife& I stayed for 3 nights b&b& 3 dinners.Staff very pleasant everywhere,the evening meals were very satisfying with the one suggestion to vary the menu more eg I had beef 3 nights in a row which was very tasty but I would have welcomed a variation of choice of meat eg lamb one night etc.

From the moment you arrive you know this is going to be good. A warm welcome comfortable surroundings and an excellent location and all that before you gett to the bedroom. Our room looked out at the sea. It was large, comfortably furnished and warm. The water in recyclable cartons were a nice touch. The restaurant was excellent with great choice of food. But none of these would appear on their own. They require people and at the Talbot Hotel the staff are excellent. Every effort was made to ensure our comfort. Thanks guys.

We stay here each year (3 couples).We Would highly recommend the Talbot Hotel as the quality of the food is excellent,the accommodation is very clean and comfortable.The service in the restaurant and bar is very efficient .It is value for money.
