This place has it all. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. The multiple levels have different themes.
Rustic cosy pub, classic dining, easy dining and even a heated smoking terrace that is semi-outside !
Super Oysters and amazing steak.
Good selection of wines.
Extremely professionally run.
An absolute gem !

Thank Harald M

Had a few problems with our booking, a non dairy meal and a dessert order that took nearly 40 minutes to arrive but staff were very apologetic and offered ample discount for the inconvenience. The food was lovely and the setting in general was homely and comfortable and I would certainly give it another try.

Went for Sunday lunch - The duck spring role starter was tiptop, pints of Guinness lovely.

So why only 3 stars? The beef medallions (mains) where like chewing gum, more like a workout for my jaw than a meal. The spuds where between cold and lukewarm.

Will give the place another chance as we where looked after when we brought it to their attention and the place has great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Can't get it right every time

My wife and I were in Wexford overnight and stumbled on this lovely Tavern beside our hotel. I had tried to book the Greenacre restaraunt online but they never bothered to reply to me. It turns out that their loss was our biggest gain this year. From the moment we entered this warm and friendly bar, we were immediatley greeted with friendlieness and car. The menu is well set out and attractive. The restaraunt is a joy to behold. The food however, was absolutely stunning. Steph our waitress and Caoimhe the manager did everything possible to ensure we had a relaxed and enjoyable eevening. All of the staff are warm and enthusiastic people. We had one of the best nights ever in this lovely tavern and we will return. Well done to all concerned

Visited on Thursday 10th December for an after work drink, excellent bar man, observant, efficient and friendly. He handled an awkward situation very discreetly so that customers didn't even realise there was a problem. while we were only here for drinks, there is a good food menu, and we did notice some tantalising dishes being served to diners.
