All too often I have been disappointed by restaurants around this corner of the country. But not here. A menu with so many good things that it was difficult to decide what to order - predominantly, but not just, fish, the lambs kidneys were excellent - and a wine list that was short and sensible so that you really couldn't go wrong. Friendly and efficient service, a lovely ambience except . . . . . jazz. Nothing but jazz. The musical equivalent of marmite. Still, it would be unfair to knock off points for that. I'll be back, but with ear plugs in my pocket just in case.
