Absolutely cannot fault the place, we stayed on 24th Jan having booked an overnight spa BnB through the hotel for my partner's 30th birthday, which entitled us to 2x 1 hour treatments in the spa, with a good range of treatments to choose from, overnight stay, a 4 course meal and breakfast the next day. We arrived at the hotel, promptly checked in, only thing I could say is there are no lifts in the building, which is fine as it's only a 2 floor hotel, however could be useful to add one in. Hotel itself was lovely on the inside, staff very friendly. The room was a premier room, absolutely huge room with a super king bed, lovely clean room, bathroom fully stocked with absolutely everything you could think of, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a sewing kit, a shaving kit, soaps, shampoos the lot. They also included a lovely birthday plate for my partner in the room which was a lovely touch. Shower was amazing, high powered water makes for a lovely shower first thing in the morning. We went for our treatments, I went first for a full body massage so my partner had full use of the thermal suite for the time I was away, this included a sauna, steam room, hot tub, foot baths, outdoor swimming facility, showers all in a beautiful setting overlooking the grounds of the hotel. Everything was clean and again we were provided...Absolutely cannot fault the place, we stayed on 24th Jan having booked an overnight spa BnB through the hotel for my partner's 30th birthday, which entitled us to 2x 1 hour treatments in the spa, with a good range of treatments to choose from, overnight stay, a 4 course meal and breakfast the next day. Everything was clean and again we were provided with towels, bathrobes and slippers during the time we spent there. My massage was absolutely out of this world, using elmis products, the room was the right temperature, the lady doing my massage was so lovely, I didn't get her name but she had an English accent. She talked me through the massage and it was just amazing, so relaxing. My hour was up and my partner was brought up on time by the receptionist so we didn't waste time on our treatments. I then went and used the thermal suite, it was quiet and just myself and another lady so it was just bliss. We then had dinner booked at 8.30pm which was included, the menu was just the right size, an option on it for everyone. We went for the vegetable soup to start, striploin steak and duck Margot for mains. Included were potatoes and carrots and parsnips without ordering sides. Meal was to die for! For dessert again they included a birthday plate for my partner which was so nice of them. Absolutely cannot fault the staff they were so good. After dinner there was some live music in the library bar, great entertainment with an open fire to relax Infront of. We had such a good night. The next morning we had breakfast included, continental, hot food and cereal/ fruit, again something for everyone. We had the loveliest time I couldn't recommend the hotel enough! Definitely would stay here again, worth the 3 hour drive! More
