We had an amazing time cruising down the Blackwater with Cillian. It was a great way to kick-start our morning. It was a great experience and I'm looking forward to going back in a few months to try the sea kayaking. Ronan and Cillian couldn't have been more helpful and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Thank Aidan H

My boyfriend originally booked us in for sea kayaking, the weather wasn't super cooperative (massive waves!) so the guys changed the plan for a kayak down the Blackwater River. Both Ronan and Cillian were great, and very entertaining. I would highly recommend Ardmore Adventures for any outdoor pursuits, hands down!

We went on a family kayaking session, 2 adults and a 5 and a half yr old. Booking was easy, we just called into the centre, and all the staff we encountered were pleasant and friendly. Dad and child had never kayaked before, and shared a 2 seat boat, with a paddle each. The session lasted about 2 hours and included wetsuits, helmets and buoyancy vests, brief instruction and then into the sea. We paddled along the coast at a leisurely pace, with various pauses to play some games, to look at features on the cliffs and to go into a sea cave. There were two instructors with our group, and they were very friendly and informative. The 5 year old loved it, she was so excited and the trip really lived up to her expectations! She was able to take part in the various activities which included things like standing up, getting out of your seat etc. She was very keen to end up in the sea and insisted on trying to swim back to shore at the end of the trip. The instructors dealt with her increasing giddiness with charm and patience, and when her swimming efforts failed after about 30 seconds in the water she was hauled into one of their boats and given a lift back to land. It was certainly the highlight of her holiday and the first time we had done any sort of 'adventure activity' as a family. We adults enjoyed it as well, and could happily have stayed out for another 2 hours. I would say that the activity is suitable for pretty much any age or ability, it was not strenuous and you don't need any prior experience. Probably not great for experienced kayakers and thrill seekers, but as a family activity I really couldn't fault it. It is quite expensive but we felt it was value for money.

Brill staff and an amazing experiance, not to be missed! Went out on a beautiful day with guide Killian and explored the numerous caves, coves and crevices of the stunning Ardmore coastline-plus a bit of spontaneous coastering just to cool down! Killian was a proffessional instructor whilst making sure we were always safe and having a good time. Would definately recommend it!

Amazing trip.....not to be missed. Superb guide josh full of knowledge chat charisma and skill. Excellent tour into caves around rocks on open sea and lots of wildlife. From an inexperienced novice felt in complete safe hands with josh. Super experience has to be done if you are in this neck of the woods. Fantastic memories of the cliffs overhead, the multilayered rock the clear visibility of the water and the hidden caves. Brilliant!

Hi cmIrland,
Delighted to hear you enjoyed the trip so much and I'll pass your compliments on to Josh. There is a lot of hidden gems along the Ardmore Coastline that can only be seen and experienced from the water.
Thank you for choosing us for your kayaking and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.
