Stayed in The Tower Hotel last weekend, been a while since my last stay but the renovations which could be years old ..lol have really added to this hotel. There was parking to the rear of the hotel which I was lucky to get a space, this from what I gather paid parking but due to an issue with the barrier there was no charge.
Check in was great, the staff were so helpful and explained the breakfast times and directions to the restaurant which in on the 1st floor.
The room looked like it was renovated not too long ago nice fresh pale grey colour tone, the only downside was the walk from the lift.
The bar area was nice and spacious but the service was quiet poor, I know most places are understaffed but there was no acknowledgement by staff as they were too busy for filling orders. The was a young girl trying to pour pints and she was pouring more of the beer into the tray than the glass and I couldn't help but wonder the amount of beer they must be loosing, in fairness are more senior barman cleaned up the tray and completed the pouring of the pints. I would not take much of an issue with this as most work places are under pressure.
The breakfast was nice all the usual pastries, fruits and full Irish, tea and toast orders taken from your table and I notice some people had some nice frest pancakes.
The view from the restaurant was lovely especially as the weather was wonderful that morning.
I will be back, actually looking to book and head back in the next few weeks.
