Dooleys Hotel Waterford 10/10

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Apr 2024via mobile
Wonderful welcome at the door, receptionist went out of her way to make sure I was settled, comfortable and happy with my room location.
Room itself was very clean and tidy, and the Queen size bed unbelievably comfortable, slept like a baby all six nights.

You can book with inclusive breakfast or not, obviously there is a price difference, but the breakfast food, from Continental to traditional full Irish fry up is exceptional.
Later meals, Main Courses, also very tasty, I tried Fish and chunky chips, and the meal I fell in love with, Slow cooked Beef and Guinness Stew, Unbelievable!

The staff, from reception, to the cleaners to the bar staff and management were all friendly, helpful and generally went out of their way to do anything they could to make my stay as enjoyable as possible.
Highly recommended, and I'm back again for another 6 days in early May, can't wait! 👌🏻

Enjoyable hotel, we stopped here on the way to Dingle. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was clean, warm, and comfortable. We did not have a fridge in the room, but the beds were super comfy. We had dinner as there was a wide range on the menu. However, we did not go for the smoked Cooley, which was very different from what we used to. Overall, it was a good stay and would stop again. Thank you to our waitress, who was helpful in what to visit on our way to Dingle and Cork.

We had an excellent stay. The room was very comfortable, the beds especially so, and the decor bright and modern. The staff were exceptional, very helpful and welcoming, couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast was lovely and the table service was prompt and courteous. The Guinness stew and the burger served in the local blaa bread we had one evening was one of the best of either that we have had. The kids menu and meals were also delicious. Two nights bed and breakfast in a family room for the four of us for under 400 euros was super value. We’ll be back!

My husband and myself came in for dinner after seeing music was advertised. The food we had was delicious although I did find it a little expensive. Our server Frances went above and beyond for us and had no problem explaining different items from the menu to us when we had dietary queries. We will be back again

Room tip: Could be left waiting a few minutes for a table
