A decent 3 star hotel. The hotel is dated in places and needs touching up in certain areas. On the whole it's worth the price with warm rooms and welcoming staff. There was live music on both nights we stayed. The breakfast was also very good especially the thick cut bacon.

Our CIE tour included one night at this warm and friendly hotel in downtown Waterford. Everything was so very clean. The Irish are particularly good at cleanliness, and this hotel was exceptionally clean.
I had been yammering for weeks about wanting to get to Ireland to have some of their brown bread. Dooley’s was without doubt the best Irish Brown Bread I’ve ever had. When I stopped to offer my compliment to the kind and smiling woman who had served us, she asked whether I like to bake. My response in the affirmative netted me a copy of the bread recipe. I am pledged to share the recipe with no one who has not been to Dooley’s! Thank you, Tina, or as our driver called you, “The Rose of Waterford!”
Check-in quick and easy! Room is fine condition, only small drawbacks was the street noise (our room on second floor a bit loud) and only parking pay by credit card across the main street thru town. Had a drink and some tasty bar food and they had a singer- guitarist for entertainment. Staff polite and helpful. Lots to see and do in Waterford. Dooley's Hotel was a big plus on our trip!
Absolutely fabulous hotel.We were late arriving and were told to go straight in for dinner whilst our luggage was delivered to our rooms. Rooms were great really comfortable beds and exceptionally clean . Towels were changed daily . Restaurant was fantastic, food choices really good and soup piping hot . Not sure how this place is only 3 * as it is better than most 4* we have stayed in . We were on a coach tour with Just Go and this wasn't our original hotel but we couldn't fault any of it . Brilliant holiday thank you
We were not able to book into the Anchorage Guest house where we had reservations as the management was not there to register us. We were anxious to secure a room for the night and were able to get the last available room. We’re very happy with the room, the management team and all the staff. The hotel and service is excellent, a little bit pricey compared to a previously reserved room but have zero complaints. AND excellent location!
We had a lovely stay in general at the dooley. The bedrooms and house keeping get a an 8 the reason for the dropped points the fan did not work in bathroom and instead of changing the duvet it was just turned over. The restaurant and bar staff were very professional when dealing with the clients they get a 10. However the management on duty during our stay get a 7 why? Because on several occasions over the three days i witnessed interaction between management and staff and the one point which was very obvious .They tend to talk at the staff and not to them. One manager chewed gum constantly on duty does not look very professional for front of house.
In conclusion a very pleasant stay and the dooley scores 80 percent customer satisfaction.In the bar there was a constant stream around .
Would we go back: YES
