A beer specialist colleague had already sussed this place out, so we invaded en masse on a quiet Wednesday evening.
The menu is fine with local food. The fish of the day was hake in beer batter - true fish and chips and well cooked in the visible kitchen. Our gluten-free, vegetarians had no trouble getting food. Good choice of beers.
Staff are really friendly, nice chat with bar maids who are a great source of tourist info. They obviously love their town, but who wouldn't? Looking forward to coming back!
