Had a room without a view, but was huge, with a wonderful large bed. Comfortable, somewhat old school. Interesting building, a bit rambling, original home of Thomas Meagher (of the Irish flag). Nice bar. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast. Great location on the quays. Popular with US tour groups.

We only stayed two nights but we were impressed with the ambience. Everything was done in a proper way. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable. The staff was polite and very helpful. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent. I can't think of one negative.

Lovely 'old school' hotel i.e. everything done in the proper way. Charming hotel, friendly helpful staff. Nice cosy double room with ensuite, spotless and clean. I asked if I could have an iron and ironing board and it arrived within minutes! Didn't eat here in the evening but enjoyed a super breakfast. Table by the window, linen tablecloths and napkins. Breakfast cooked to order. I had the smoked salmon and it was just delicious. Parking across the road in Qparks, ticket validated by the hotel and cost 3 euros! Would recommend.

we only had 1 night at this hotel. it's lovely and the historical significance is quite interesting. however, they only have 1 elevator and so it's kind of hectic when busloads are checking in. the halls are small and winding. our triple room was spacious but no view. we had hoped for a view of the water. the food and service were excellent. it's very close to the downtown historical sites in Waterford and close to the House of Waterford. lovely lovely city.

My husband and I stayed at the Granville hotel last week .we booked it because we had stayed there last summer and had a really great time. We have stayed at many hotels and the Granville is up there at the top. The hotel is top notch definitely four star but also very homely. The staff are really very special with a special mention to Mary and her porridge and Edita who we have taken into our hearts. We just want to say a big thank you to all the staff who made our stay in Waterford a lovely experience.would go oftener if time permitted. Thanks again Eddie and Jean Ramsey xxx. Forgot to say food is really excellent
