Description: An Port Mór Restaurant is run by Chef-Proprietor Frankie Mallon. Our philosophy is to use seasonal, artisan produce from local suppliers. House specialities include pot roasted pigs cheeks with black pudding & apple and vanilla sauce and 21 day dry-aged sirloin. The main emphasis is, however, on local fresh seafood and shellfish, particularly lobster, crab, scallops and langoustines fresh from the west coast of Ireland, especially Clew Bay.

“Stunning.”
Reviewed 22 November 2011

Went here with my partner on New Years Eve last year and the place is stunning.

We arrived for our sitting at 9pm and the waiter informed us our table was not ready yet and to go off and have a drink somewhere and they would call us, which I thought was a bit strange but didn't mind having a drink to work up an appetite!

when they eventually called us at about 9.30 myself and my partner were ravenous at this stage! The food was exquisite, I got the scallops and black pudding to start and it was to die for, and I just about had room for the baileys cheese cake desert which was unreal.

The waitress was brilliant as well and very friendly and recommended things for us to try on a very elaborate menu. The restaurant has recently been included in the Michelin guide to restaurant which I am delighted about because it truely deserves it. Will be back again.

“Great food for great friends”
Reviewed 31 October 2011

From the moment you arrive till the time you depart you know that you are special and that the service would be great. My expectation of the restaurant was not great before i got there but it really exceeded my expectation. Portion size was really generousness and marked all the right boxes for taste, texture and overall presentation...... THE only part that i found let them down a bit, is with the pate, we had to ask for the chutney that was suppose to came with the starter but overall 10 out of 10.......... To all people do ask if the tax reduction has been followed thru. As that has not been stated any were in the restaurant or on the menus

“Top class”
Reviewed 31 October 2011

Went here on a Sunday evening for an early dinner. we hadn't made a reservation, but the staff accommodated us. We were also in time for the early bird, which had a very good selection. The food was top class all around, as was the service. Couldn't find a fault to be honest - would highly recommend
