We booked The Mariner for a weekend break to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the moment we entered the spotlessly clean and bright lobby we were delighted. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendy, the room was beautiful - spacious, with a huge bed, tea/coffee making facilities and sparkling bathroom with rainshower and bath tub. We were genuinely amazed that a little gem like this was to be found in Ireland at such a good price. Hotels often describe themselves as "boutique" when they really just mean small and possibly even drab, or dated. The Westport is a true boutique hotel. Full of character, super-friendly and possibly the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. To top it all, our meal at The Catch was fantastic. It's a casual venue with really good food, perfectly cooked and presented. No fuss or pretension, just great service and excellent quality food. We loved our stay and will definitely be back.

From check-in to check-out, our experience of the Hotel and staff could not be faulted in any shape or form. The Hotel reception area is modern and sparklingly clean and the welcome is further enhances with a heart-warming fire.
The staff were friendly and very accommodating and settled us immediately.

Our room hosted a super huge bed, totally comfortable, and a really excellent rain shower. Both bedroom and bathroom were fully equipped with all necessary extras and the quality of the toiletries and indeed the towels were exceptional.

It had been our pleasure to dine in the hotel, having both the Salmon and Steak meals which were both cooked to perfection, great service and absolutely no delay between courses. The staff were both professional and friendly and made you feel immediately welcome and at ease.
The breakfast staff were equally professional and friendly and provided fabulous full-irish without any delay.
All in all a most satisfying dining pleasure.

It is both my pleasure and good luck to have come across such a gem in the hospitality sector and I am very pleased to recommend The Mariner Hotel to all and everyone who are making their way to Westport.
