Stayed 2 nights on a good deal which included 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners for E99 per person (over 50s rate).

PROS:
great location beside the river in town centre
Beside shopping centre- attached to it!
Free parking
Pretty good good evening meals though narrow range in menu
Great free upgrade to balcony room
Clean room with good size bed and free to air TV channels
Free broadband- wired

CONS:
Restuarant- dining area a bit understaffed with breakfast I rate as OK. The self service area ia a bit of a squeeze. One moring they ran out of pure orange juice- tough! To be fair on complaining later the duty manager did apologise - and later did the same in writing with a small box of sweets.

No AC though fan supplied.

Had to ask for the freebies in our offer rather than being given them.

All in all pretty good hotel.

We stayed in The d hotel on a Friday night on a voucher deal bought on pigsback.com
We stayed a Friday night and there was a great buzz around the hotel.
There was a bottle of prosecco which was included in our deal chilling in our room on arrival. It was great that we didn't have to ask for it as I find with some hotels that you buy these deals from that they never seem organised about what is included in your package. The d hotel seemed very organised in this respect.
The room was spacious, clean and the bed was large and very very comfortable. The hotel was really warm but there is fans in the rooms which was definitely required.

We had dinner in the restaurant. Very limited menu but the food was really nice. The dining room very crowded but cleared out after a while and we had a very relaxing half an hour after dinner to enjoy the end of our wine.

We then headed into Wm Cairnes pub to enjoy the cocktails which we had read about online beforehand. We were disappointed to be told that the cocktail menu wasn't available on weekends only the special cocktail of the night. It was a nice cocktail but I didn't understand why the other cocktails advertised on the menu on the tables weren't available. There was a good DJ on playing a great array of music.
We went back into the hotel lounge to enjoy a nightcap. There was a young lad singing and playing the guitar which was lovely to sit back and listen to.

I think its great to see a hotel investing in providing live music as it is something that adds to the atmosphere of being away for the guests and enjoying a break.

Breakfast the next morning was served until 11. There was a good range of pastries and breads, fruit, cereals and yoghurt.
The hot buffet was nice too.
I had one major problem with the breakfast which was you had to get tea and coffee from a flask at buffet. It was horrible tea. I think the hotel should really think about providing teapots for each table. Irish people really love their tea and its nearly the most important aspect of breakfast.

Overall we really enjoyed our break in the d hotel and would recommend it for a night away. Great atmosphere for a good night out and great shops and coffee shops in Drogheda to pass the day/

Room Tip: Make sure you get a fan in your room.

We stayed in the D hotel on three occasions now as I sometimes am up there for business. Good staff, great location and a stylish decor make this a pretty good place to be based - child friendly too which is also ideal!

Recently stayed in the D hotel with our two sons. We had a lovely stay. The hotel is ideally located to explore Drogheda and has a great shopping centre next door. Thought the kids menu in the restaurant was really good, nice to have a change from everything with chips. Our rooms were lovely. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. In particular Vaitodas who went over and above the call of duty on few times in our short stay to help us out. (A stranded teddy was one of the rescue calls!!) Give that man a raise he is excellent on the front desk. With all the packages avaiable in this hotel you are sure to find one to suit your needs. We will definately stay again.
