Even if your not in Drogheda town it's well worth making the effort to visit St Peter's simply for the little side altar/museum regarding St Oliver Plunkett - a Catholic Arch-Bishop who was hung, drawn and quartered for treason (promoting the Catholic faith) in the 17th century. The side altar contains the head of St Oliver on display. You can get right up to it and see it from all angles.
