A breath of fresh air on our B&B tour of Ireland. It was nice to stay in a 'proper' hotel for a change. It has everything you can expect from a large, 'luxury' hotel- good and bad. Pros- A/C (Ireland in August can be unexpectedly hot- and spoiled Americans, like myself, like our A/C!) Clean, spacious, quiet (nearly sound-proof), well-appointed rooms. Large bathrooms. Excellent bar with friendly staff. Large, open lounge areas. Central location to all things in Limerick city. Cons- It is a LARGE, busy hotel. Tour buses of people. We had a hard time getting our GPS to actually get us there- the address would not get us to the hotel. We tried 3 apps on our phone and one of them finally worked. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was mediocre- service was very slow and food was typically over-priced and nothing special. If you have the time- walk over the bridge into the city and choose one of the 100s of better dinner choices (we traveled with family and the majority were too tired to travel far for dinner, so the hotel food was the best option.)
