No 1 Pery Square is housed in a beautiful old building near the centre of Limerick city. From the exceptional welcome from front of house staff to the best breakfast this hotel offers 5 star experiences at 4 star prices. There is private parking available adjacent to the hotel. The bedrooms are not very big, but are beautiful with well appointed bathrooms. The restaurant serves 1st class food. One of the most relaxing hotels in Ireland. The Spa is fantastic and part of the hotel. If you are visiting Limerick city you should stay here.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, but suites are a lot bigger.

I treated my husband to a 2 night mini-break here last month. The hotel is in a great location for getting away from it all, yet close enough to Limerick city centre for shopping and sightseeing if you wish.

Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated and of average size. The en suite was spacious and had a separate bath and shower. The little bar is an ideal place to sit with a newspaper and a coffee during the day or linger over a few drinks after dinner. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and both the breakfast and dinner were well above average with excellent food and nice little extra touches, which were much appreciated. There weren't many staff on duty either morning though so service was slow at breakfast but luckily we weren't in any rush.

The staff were friendly and helpful with good recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Limerick.

We spend a few hours in the spa on the Tuesday and while it is not cheap, it was worth it for a special indulgent treat. The therapists were friendly and knowledgeable. We had a head to toe couples treatment, which left us both feeling very relaxed. We had the whole place to ourselves so I would definitely recommend going on a weekday to make the most of the peace and quiet.

I would certainly recommend No 1 Pery Square and I will definitely be back!

Whether it's a romantic weekend getaway or a spa break with the girls, No. 1 Pery Square is the perfect location. From the unique bedrooms full of character & charm, to the luxurious restaurant setting, you will not want to leave the hotel for a moment, and we didn't! The Georgian facade, opulent rooms and tranquil atmosphere have the feel of a country manor, but the city-centre location means you have everything you need on the doorstep. We were fortunate to experience both the 3 course evening meal and breakfast, which were both a culinary delight. Sincere thanks to: Juan in the restaurant, with his extensive knowledge of wines & attentive manner; Bernie for personally escorting us to our room (a lovely touch) and Patricia for her wonderful genuine hospitality. We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: No lift to the rooms on the top floor (if you are not in your full health).

We spent one night in this hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. From the second we arrived the service was amazing. We had booked two rooms which were spotless, spacious, well decorated and well equipped. We all had spa treatments which were all very good, therapists seemed genuinely interested in their job. Dinner in the restaurant was also excellent, there was no vegetarian starter option on the set dinner menu, but an option was offered when we asked. We retired to the bar after dinner and enjoyed a wonderful cheese board, a perfect end to a perfect day. I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back.

We stayed on the 1st November 2012 as a delayed celebration of our 15th anniversary (in July). I treated myself to a spa treatment which was fabulous and I made full use of the thermal suite also which was very enjoyable. We dined in Brasserie One and we have not one negative thing to say about the food, service or atmosphere - it was an outstanding meal. Breakfast was also excellent. Staff were welcoming and friendly yet highly professional. The whole hotel felt welcoming and comfortable. The only complaint we could come up with was that we didn't want to leave! Will definitely be planning a return visit and will highly recommend this gorgeous boutique hotel. Even though it is not a 'cheap' hotel I felt it was very good value as we certainly got what we paid for.

Room Tip: We had the "Goldsmith" room which was lovely, had a nice view and as it was on the corner 2 big windows so lovely and bright. Spacious bathroom with a great shower. Bed was most comfortable. Room was very quiet and neighbours a corridor so we didnt feel that we could be bothering anyone. Very handy to the lift also.
