We needed a break from touristing and popped in. Delightful staff and the scones and tea were absolutely delicious.

We had the fish and chips, coffee andl a burger. Excellent taste, quick-ish service and normal prices. A good choice to enjoy a lunch break.

This restaurant is nice. It has three floors of dining. Food is great and it comes fast. Bathroom is at the third level and is nothing to brag about. The rest room had no toilet paper. So if you don't like climbing stairs to use a bathroom pick another restaurant. Staff was very friendly.

Came with my Ma who along with her friends are huge fans of The Fig Tree for my birthday breakfast. Great looking restaurant in the centre of Kilkenny on three floors. Really friendly staff. Ordered the full Irish breakfast which comes with 2 sausages, bacon, white pudding, black pudding, tomatoes, baked beans, fried egg, two types of toast and pot of tea for 10 euros. Great value for money. Food came out in timely fashion and all the ingredients were hot and perfectly cooked. Impressive plate of food. My only very minor complaint would be that I would personally like two fried eggs. Will definitely return.

Out of all the places (not that many, sadly) that I tried a full Irish breakfast in Ireland, this place had the best one, hands down. I mean c'mon, they have All-Day-Breakfast, what a dream! The place was pretty crowded, but we got served quickly, ordering a round of cappuccinos, some of which come as a combo with a breakfast dish. It's always nice to have some cocoa powder sprinkled on top of a creamy cappuccino.

We weren't even halfway through the drinks when the dishes came, so fast! My family typically orders three because we only eat what we can and strive to not waste food.

I ordered the classic Irish breakfast, with warm and sweet baked beans in tomato sauce, a baked tomato, egg, delicious breakfast sausages, bacon, and crisp white and black pudding- all of it was PERFECT. Then there was the ham and egg with toast and yummy potato cakes on the bottom, simply and quality stuff here! Our least favorite was the pulled pork in the pulled pork burger, it was nothing mind-blowing, but the buns and fries (chips) were pillowy-soft and amazing, if we had the chance, we would've went back and ordered a different burger.

Note- as a nod to the other reviews, it's unfortunate that this restaurant offers vegan and gluten-free options, yet manages to mess up orders for people that depend on the correct ingredients. Alas, life is often easier for the gluten-consuming carnivores...

I would like to thank you for giving us such a great review, it is nice to know that we do the best breakfast in Ireland and that the service was fast and you were happy with everything.
I noted your comment on the Gluten Free options and that someone possibly on a table near you got their order wrong and I can assure you that this was unfortunate and is not something that happens alot but would be very rare as we are very consious of allergies and our Gluten Free options have grown because of the increase in demand.
Thank you again for your review hope you enjoyed our beautifull city.
