Whilst visiting the South East of Ireland I arranged to play the Midweek Open Competition. Had some great company in a couple of members.

The course is a mature parkland course with a number of solid holes. I personally would say nothing majorly stands out as a hole, but there are certainly no gimmes. The par 3s are all a challenge but end up being samey because their distance is so similar.

Condition wise the course was excellent. The greens in particular were nothing short of superb. Receptive and very smooth.

All in all a solid course, and at just €15 as a visitor in a competition excellent value indeed.

Thank Mosside

Played a round here on banking holiday. The course was very traditional, but in good shape. Greens were challenging but overall condition was good. After the round had fish and chips in the bar and it was great. I'd play here again.

Course is quite short and has very tricky greens. It's a decent course personally I'd prefer gorwan or mount Juliet in the area but I wouldn't advise anyone not to play here either. Food was good after just something missing for me..

The rain and weather was not conducive at all to playing golf. The clubhouse was fantastic, beautiful, and very expensive. Gorgeous course.

As all golfers know: A Golf Club must have great food to accompany a great golf course.
Although I did not get to play the course this time around we did eat in the club house.
Members in the party had soups, open prawn sandwich and deep fried Thai prawn. The prices were very reasonable and the food very good. The Club house staff were very friendly. The golf club is 5 minutes walk from the Newpark Hotel where we stayed, so bring your clubs and combine the family holiday with a game and some great food !
