This was one of the places recommended by our B&B host. Easy to find, just across the bridge in town. We were fortunate to get a table in the bar area the first night, as the town was packed with visitors due to a bank holiday and sports tournament. That night there was live Irish music which we enjoyed. The food was AMAZING!!! I had the Irish Stew which was on special. The best I have had anywhere. My husband had a curry meal which also was great. Service was excellent in spite of the busy night. Second night we had fish and chips. Outstanding! Ate in the upstairs restaurant section. Would absolutely recommend.

You have to wait for your food at Matt but it's worth the wait. Nothing is cooked till ordered. The ribs fell of the bone the sauce was delicious I wanted to licking the plate. The chips were home cooked and we're not soaky but crisp and hot.My husband had burger and chips which he said was the best tasted not a crumb was left.We had no room left for desert. At about 10.30 all food has to be payed for the table are pushed to one side and it becomes a dance floor with band till 2.

No problem getting a table at 6pm on a Saturday. We were warned that later on the place gets filled with hen and stag parties.
4 of us for dinner. Single course, 2 pints, 2 soft drinks, 3 coffees €110.
Portion size was lacking, even after asking the waitress before ordered. The food was tasty and well presented but based on the fact that we were going out afterward we all knew we'd be stopping for a food top up on the way home.
Irish stew x2 and veggie stir fry x2.
Traditional music from 6:30 advertised outside. We left around 7:30 and it still hadn't started.
The toilets need to be monitored better on a hot , busy Saturday afternoon.
There are a lots of restaurants and pub grub in the area. This is obviously a popular spot but it didn't stand out in the crowd . Seems to be based on being riverside rather than value for money .

Very busy yet you could still dance where you stood if you chose to. Lively crowed just out for a laugh, seen no trouble. Fast service even though it was busy. Friendly Bouncers

The place has it all: amazing design, gorgeous Stewed beef in Guinness and last but not least, nicest staff!
