The traditional Irish music was wonderful. The food was excellent! Our server, Garry, was a genuinely interested in whether we enjoyed our time not only at Matt the Millers, but in Kilkenny. We're all supporters for the Kilkenny hurling team now! We liked the music and food so much we decided to return on our final night in town and it proved an excellent choice. A whistle player was with the band that night and the music was even better. The crowd politely applauded after every song. You felt transported from being a tourist to being a local although I imagine many in the place were from out of town. One recommendation: order the Guinness Irish Stew. My daughter ordered it and had to fight off my husband and me from eating all of it. It's excellent!
