Review of Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel

I had a difficult sleep because the bed covering was far too warm. I removed the inside material and used the outer sheet. Used this andd the 3 feet wide blanket strip on the bed for a blanket. I awoke many times during the night to adjust my unsuitable " made up " bed covering due to being cold..

Just back from a 2 night stay at the Ormonde. Friendly staff, great location. Room fairly standard but spotlessly clean with comfy bed. Standout was the food, both at breakfast & especially in the Hoban bar in the evening. We had dinner 1st night as part of our deal but dined there 2nd also, notwithstanding that Kilkenny is stuffed with good restaurants, because we liked it so much. Highly recommend.

I recently stayed for 1 night at the Ormonde Hotel.Such a fab experience.Excellent check-in,fabulous dinner at the restaurant.Lovely breakfast with so much choice.Beautiful foyer with so many options for seating.
I didn't have a plug for my charger.Christine at reception gave me her own one as there wasn't any at Reception. Such a lovely gesture and very much appreciated.What a fantastic asset to the hotel Christine is.Warm,kind and friendly.
It was my 1st time staying in this hotel but I look forward to going back.

Hotel was in a great location! We had a car and it had a car ramp across the street. Everything was in walking distance. I would Saty here again.
