A beautiful castle and a privilege to see that we still have it. One of the guides, John Kelly, was wonderful and gave us so much interesting information about the restoration of the building and the attention to detail that was taken to ensure a faithful reconstruction of rooms that were literally just shells. You would never know unless you were told! Also the 'Blue Corridor' has some fascinating 'before and after' photographs of the work that was undertaken here. The grounds look stunning also but unfortunately it was a rather drizzly and windy morning so we didnt take a proper stroll!
