Well, first of all, I must address those accusing the property for the bad neighbourhood. There's nothing bad about it except it's really remote from the center - good 20 min walking. But it's warking by the bars first, and then by the quite wide street, so I can't imagine something wrong with.
Now, the remoteness. It was quite a deal, as it realy felt as if put out to any other outskirt of any other town. There's was nothing that felt "Kilkenny" around it. Plus, there's gasoline station in front of your window. But as there's no any other aparthotels in the town, it's not like you have a choice if you need one. We needed.
Place itself is clean, well organized and owners are very sweet. Sharon spent good fifteen minutes with me on the phone guiding us through the roundabouts (and there're plenty!), and Mark, her husband, stayed another half an hour after showing us the place, to explain about the area and give some recommendations.
It has private parking in the inner yard, and there's a small grocery/supermarket just downstares owned by the same people, so if you arrive late you won't have trouble grubbing something to eat. And there're two supermarkets (Liddle and some other) just 5 min away.
There's no reception, but Sharon is always a phone call away, so it's not a problem.
There's a heating system, that was very efficient. Kitchen was well equipped. Rooms were decorated in modern style. The only problem was with bathrooms. We didn't manage to heat the main bathroom, so we mainly used the one in master bedroom, which was really small. And the thing with faucets! I'd expect with recently redecorated place to have a combined faucet and not two separate ones (for hot and cold water). This was indeed the tourture of the day. The hot water was really hot, and the cold was ice cold. So washing hands was really a challenge.
I think a price is a bit high considering the location.
Other than that - we had no complains at all and I can safely recommend the place for anybody seeking the aparthotel in the area.
