We were welcomed upon arrival and found every staff member enthusiastic and pleasant. We had a comprehensive tour from our guide who was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to explain the technical elements of the windmill in great detail. It was very family friendly and the miniature trains were nice too. We had a wander around the shop and bought a few more items than we normally would as we wanted to support their great efforts. They said it’s closing temporarily soon to repair the windmill. I’d like to return when it’s back in operation. It’s great to see such impressive restoration!

The windmill isn't working at the moment due to storm damage, but it's still well worth a visit - the staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about explaining the workings, engineering and history of the mill and the children especially enjoyed being allowed to work the querns and also the model railway exhibits. Very enjoyable for all ages.

On a Sunday drive we decided to pull into Blennerville Windmill on a total whim. I can only describe the welcome and hospitality from Donal as beyond 5 stars. We were too late for the "windmill tour"but he very kindly showed my husband and I and our 5 year old around the model railway exhibition and the Jeanie Johnson exhibit upstairs. Couldnt recommend the exhibit highly enough, will definitely be back to visit the windmill in full again
