Very old rooms, so dated, cramped for a twin room,
Hotel is in a good central location, breakfast was okay nothing exciting, I wouldn’t return, we need a room last minute in Tralee and it was available, I would never choose to stay here !

We stayed here Sunday night and unfortunately it just wasn't great. I was exhausted after a night in hospital and rather then drive home I said it would be better to sleep over somewhere. We chose this hotel based on other recommendations but it just didn't meet a good standard in my opinion. We had room 508 a deluxe room? The walls where all marked the TV kept creeking all through the night, the matress was non existant, you keept sinking down in it as there seemed to be no springs left in it and it was unbearably thin. At 7 am the room next door 507 ran the bath but the boiler for that was in our room. The noise was something that could not have been slept through and also the walls were paper thin and we could hear the person next door bathing and moving around in the bath and then other people talking in the corridor. They may as well have been in the room with us. We raised these concerns at 7:30 with receptionist who was shocked to hear of the boiler situation and said it wasn't in our room when the door for it is literally in the picturs below gave? She gave us a breakfast on the house but (which is extremely poor, sausages where pale and look uncooked and there was very little to choose from) all I wanted was some sleep. For over 100 euro for the night it is unacceptable and for these reasons I will not recommend nor return to the hotel. I hate to leave a bad review especially with the way hospitality is at the moment but things need to be improved.

On our recent visit to the brandon for the 1st time we were pleasantly surprised by the warm reception and everything that followed. The pool was lovely and a few minutes in the jacuzzi felt great on the bones. We had a spotless room and before going out in tralee we headed into the hotel bar for a few drinks where we came across more lovely staff. In the morning at our lovely breakfast we met the wonderful noreen broderick who over saw the running of the breakfast room with a smile and a chat that just brightened up the day. The food was lovely and we will definitely be back. We'll done all at the Brandon Hotel.
