We (family of 7) stayed here for 5 nights in October 2010 using two 2-bedroom apartments on the top floor. Apartments are modern, spacious, clean and very well equipped. Definitely 4-star standard. The location is excellent, within walking distance to shops, pubs and restaurants. Killarney was the last stop on a three week Island tour and it proved to be the best due in large part to the accommodations at Park Place.

I can’t say enough about Michelle. She seemed to be working 24/7. Her attitude was positive and professional and she was always willing to do what she could to help. She could give courses on customer service.

Stayed at these apartments middle of September for 7 nights. The quality of the accomodation is excellent and was exceptionally clean and spacious. As far as apartment go this was truly 4 star, .Location is within minutes walking distance of all the lively Killarney restaurants, bars and shops. Secure underground car park another excellent feature of this facility,We had an internal courtyard apartment so view from apartment nothing to get excited about but that was a very minor point on balance

I feel prompted to write a review about our wonderful stay in Killarney at Park Place Apartments & Town House. My Husband and I, together with Angus our Westie, have just returned from a weeks, stay at Park Place, which is situated at the top of High Street, so perfect for shopping and visiting all the wonderful pubs and restaurants that Killarney has to offer. We booked our town house at Park Place via "Imagine Ireland", and after a very tiring, long car journey from Rosslare Harbour we were delighted to be met by Michelle as we wearily arrived outside Park Place. She was very helpful, and showed us round the magnificent "town house" that was to be our home for a week.Furnished to a very high standard with separate lounge with flat screen tv, expensively fitted kitchen, two bedrooms (one including a jacuzzi!)and lovely quality beds and bedding, finished off with thick carpet. Whilst we had hoped our accomodation would be nice, this far exceeded our expectations, so feel we should pass on our thoughts. All the luxury of a good hotel, but freedom to do as you please!!! Although we booked through" Imagine Ireland" - Park Place have a great site, and offer two day breaks with romantic package of chocs and wine! as well as seven day breaks.

All in all we had a fantastic stay! loved Killarney, visited the lakes, Tralee,Dingle.....and enjoyed evey minute, so if you are looking to visit South West Ireland - try this accomodation, very reasonably priced with private parking under the building, and most accomodating staff.

After reading the great reviews on Tripadvisor for these apartments, we were a little disappointed with our townhouse. Possibly this was because we had just arrived from the fabulous Carrick Plaza Suites where we had been terribly spoilt, but nevertheless disappointed we were.
The townhouse layout was quite pokey, with a small living area separated off from the kitchen/dining room by the stairs up to the bedrooms. The complex is large and the living area looked directly out onto a number of other apartments, which meant we basically had to close the curtains to have any privacy. The front door is clear glass with no curtain so a couple of units on the opposite side face directly into the downstairs toilet, so we had to be careful there! Similarly, the back side of the apartments face directly into a glass office block, so it was a case of closing the curtains during business hours if we wanted privacy, all of which made us feel a little claustrophobic. The bedrooms were and bathrooms were also on the small side, but still functional.
We also had a few maintenance issues - a large tear in the lounge suite fabric, bath plugs not working, faulty lights - and the reception, whilst being apologetic, could only provide a replacement globe for the lights, but made no effort to fix the other problems during our stay.
Having said that, the townhouse was very clean, and all of the kitchen facilities were in good working order. All of the little extras you need in a self catering apartment were provided (lots of pots pans, bottle openers, cleaning products, etc), so no complaints in that regard.
The furnishing and finishes and general standard was modern and adequate, but not outstanding in our opinion. The location is at the end of the High St in Killarney, so its easy to pop out for a stroll around town and the free parking in this location is a bonus.
It may be that the apartment suites in the complex are superior to the townhouses, so possibly this explains why others rate these apartments better, but nevertheless, despite the shortcomings, we did have everything we needed for our stay and of course had a fabulous time in Killarney.

Management response:Responded 21 September 2010

Dear sir/madam,
Firstly, thank you for your review. We welcome all feedback as it enables us to improve our product.
We have townhouses and apartments but it depends on the customers requirements as to what suits their needs.
Regarding the blind on the front door, we have recognised this issue as it was pointed out to us by previous customers. We have these blinds ordered but must wait until November (due to the popularity of the complex) to get an opportunity to erect these.
We have a town centre location which our guests love. However, there is the disadvantage that we do not have total seclusion from our neighbours. I'm afraid it is an inevitable result of the location. Some units are more effected than others.
I am interested to hear that only one of your maintanence issues was addressed as we always strive to attend to these matters as soon as possible.
I am glad to hear that despite some reservations you did enjoy your stay with us.
Again, thank you for your comments.
If you have any other queries please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
Yours sincerely,
Paul O'Neill
