This hotel was an absolute gem. We used it as a launching point for driving the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. The best part of the hotel was Maura, who worked at the front desk every night we were there. She has a fountain of knowledge that she is happy to share. Maura helped us plan our drives -- we ended up seeing things we hadn't planned on that really made the trip much better. You'll have to ask her for some tips :). The next best thing about the hotel was the restaurant: we had dinner there 2 nights in a row and I can honestly say they make the best fish and chips that I've ever had. You really must try them (you can tell the fish is fresh and the batter is perfect without being too greasy). We'll absolutely be staying here again the next time we are in Killarney.

Where to start with this wonderful hotel? I visited with family yesterday, for the first time, after attending a family funeral. About 30 people attended for a 3 course meal & later some drinks. The attention to detail and the service were impeccable. The moment we arrived we were greeted by the owners of this beautiful family run hotel & were shown the lovely private area which was prepared for our gathering. The menu choices and food were perfect and the fantastic service by the friendly waiting and bar staff was noted by all. The atmosphere was warm and inviting & much appreciated on what was an otherwise sad occasion. A 5 year old child was part of our party and the patience and time given to him by staff members was over and beyond. They engaged with him & chatted with him throughout the afternoon despite being busy themselves, providing colouring sheets & snacks etc. I already look forward to returning to this hotel with my partner for a short stay in the near future. It's location is ideal and the food & drink fabulous. It's lovely today to find oneself in the homely atmosphere of a family run hotel. Would highly recommend. Thank you again for all efforts made for us yesterday. You couldn't have been any more accommodating.
