The Hotel was great but the restaurant facilities really let it down. There were eight of us for the evening meal. First of all the waitress tipped a whole tray of drinks over me. I realise that she was sorry but I was covered and soaked in sticky drinks like orange juice etc. She wasn't going to clean it up and the floor was very sticky, however I insisted. When the meal came, one person had a burger that was like cardboard, another had the steak which was of tough and of poor quality, I had prawns that were tasteless and watery like they had been frozen, my wife and another had the curry which was not good at all. The bill was 400 Euros and this was not a good experience. However this was not the end of it. We were doing a car tour of Ireland and Killarney was on our route. The day after we left the Dromhall hotel and headed up to the Cliffs of Moher, three of our party went down with food poisoning and two were quite ill. I had to stop the car several times while my wife was vomiting by the roadside and another one of the drivers had the same issue. Neither of them could eat any more for the remainder of our trip.
