Spent 3 nights at Dromhall Hotel in some of the hottest weather Ireland has seen in awhile. My room, on the third floor, was rather warm so a fan was required each night. This is not typical but you may want to consider a room on a lower floor if a heat wave hits while you are there. The hotel does not generally require AC and therefore does not have it and even with the windows open it was quiet at night.
The hotel is located on a main street in a residential neighbourhood but only a 10 minute walk to downtown and all the action. Killlarney is a bustling town.
The room was spacious and the washroom large. I found the king size bed and pillows very comfortable.
Our tour had arranged a jaunting car (horse and buggy) ride which took us directly from the hotel to the nearby Killarney National Park. Our driver was humourous and knowledgeable. So again the hotel is located in an area close to both shopping, bars, restaurants and nature. This is a good central location for the Dingle Peninsula and The Ring of Kerry.More
