OK, obviously I'm kidding around a bit with the title but we just had a great time in Killarney. Just back yesterday. Apart from the lobby the style of the hotel is dark and for me I'm OK with that, maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I thought the interior was modern, contemporary and stylish. Some minor areas needing wall papering but nothing that would standout and appear unkept. My wife and I and our 4 sons stayed. We booked 2 rooms. The lads stayed in a large room with a camp bed made up. We also brought our 6 bicycles. Stephen at reception ( a complete gentleman ) stored our bikes and brought them out when we needed them and done so with such a courteous manner. Such a great guy it was really appreciated. We also dealt with Sabina at reception and she made our stay just brilliant. The staff at reception really should be given the freedom of the city as I lost count of the number of times we went to them having left our room keys in the room or they became demagnetized as we kept putting them in our pockets next our phones ... ugh. Breakfast every morning was great and we had one evening meal in the restaurant which was lovely. One critique would be the seafood linguine .. definitely needs work guys, it was mostly just mussels and not much flavour. We didn't eat in Scruffy's bar but from what I could see looked very acceptable offering the usual pub fare of a good standard. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the centre of things but on saying that lots of hotels in Killarney are central or not far outside. Killarney is great. There is just loads to do for a family of teenagers. We did a boat and bike trip of the Gap of Dunloe and it was brilliant. We also went surfing at Inch beach and cycling in the national park around Mukross. I hope you enjoy your stay at this hotel we certainly did.

Stayed for 2 nights with my mother, room was super old fashion, no tea or coffee making facilities no water nothing in the room. Bathroom didn't have an extractor fan so room filled with steam. Didnt sleep either night due to a air conditioning appliance outside the room window buzzing loudly 24/7 Complained to reception guy said yeah we've had complaints about it before! Bar food was poor and over priced, service bad too. Bar called Scruffys and it certainly is. Overall extremely disappointing wouldn't go back

Stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel is in the centre of the town so great location. Parking can be a bit tricky to find in the evening times though. All the staff were fantastic and nothing we asked of them was any trouble. Food was nice and there was a great selection for breakfast. The only little complaint we had was the dinner menu seemed a bit limited. Apart from that everything was tip top. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Killarney

After staying in this lovely hotel last year we decided to return this year and when I remarked we had been there last year we were left a lovely bottle of wine to welcome us back also friends who came with us this year got one also. I had a great time as last year but I will say we were not told about requesting our room to be cleaned but that was fine. Last year we dined in the restaurant for some reason but this year we dined in scruffys the menu was almost the same each night there seemed to be more choice last year. Breakfast was fabulous great choice we didn’t have it included but we paid through booking.com. It’s in a fab location and all staff were lovely especially Ian he was so nice and the restaurant manager I think her name is Siobhan or Sinead.
I hope to return sometime again.

Just back from our 3 night break. Hotel is in a great location although be prepared to find parking up a bit from hotel. Didn't annoy us as we had read that in advance.

We paid quite a bit for our stay and I was disappointed with the rooms view and the hotel could do with a little face-lift. Although surprised with the usb sockets.

Staff were all great and could not fault any of them as they are doing their best with restrictions and great see them all coming back to work... Let's face it the pup must be tempting to stay on.. .
Felt terrible for the restaurant staff at breakfast on Saturday morn, who chose to work, some probably new to the job... , an awful woman beside us who took the head off several staff members, no excuse, she was vile to them (really hope the hubby's beans on toast were enjoyed). Ashamed they were also from Dublin. That ruined my breakfast and everytime we saw them was disgusted. Anyway

Breakfast was lovely every morning, plenty of selection.

Enjoyed our stay but probably wouldn't again for the price.
