Firstly i have to say this hotel is beautiful. ideal location close to everything. Rooms are spotless. Tea and coffee refreshments in the room. Comfy bed. Bath with a jacuzzi is brilliant and a Great pool but make sure you book a slot . The staff are just so courteous and helpful. From reception to the breakfast and bar staff to the leisure centre So hardworking. The hospitality sector need so much appreciation now They are doing a wonderful job in strange times In our room only thing that bothered me was . The air-conditioning system outside as is very noisy becomes abit irritating at night. And just other disappointing things Parking was a nightmare drove around 3times outside after a 2half hour drive from Kildare looking for a spot. We eventually did get one opposite the hotel and my partner each day going over at 830 to top it up for the day The hotel reimburse you 3euro a day but when we checked out and gave our tickets to the reception right on q a traffic warden put a 40ruro ticket fine on our window screen didn't even notice it till we pulled into our driveway. So now we have to try prove we had all the tickets which we know covered us till way past checking out time. I also found the bar closing at 1030 abit disappointing and yes we are still aware of covid but people are seated in the specified distance so having to take your drinks to the room abit of a let down after been couped up in our houses for over 17months.. And outside most establishments want you to have food so getting to just sit down for a drink in the evening quite difficult to find..
Killarney is just fabulous. Had a great day on the lakes tour. Town has a great holiday feel to it with all the outdoor dining even better if you get a reservation. . When indoor dining resumes this will help. Overall can't fault the hotel. Thanks to the staff they definitely make this hotel one to return to.More
