My partner, 2 yr old daughter and I stayed in the Gleneagle apartments for 4 nights in September. The apartment was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. They also sleep up to 6 people. The hotel rang us a few days before we arrived to inform us of any activities that would be suitable for our daughter and to book them. We also had full use of the hotel facilities where we did use the pool. Again, all spotlessly clean.
The evening we arrived we got a takeaway from the Eleven77 food van that they have just outside the back door. We decided to have a Tennessee bbq chicken pizza which we actually couldn't eat due to the saltyness of the bbq sauce on it and definitely not worth €15.50! The 'garlic bread' had absolutely no taste of garlic from it, it was more of a herb bread. We also had chicken wings which were nice but we didnt think they were worth €11 for the small box of them. Needless to say we didn't return to the food truck and I wouldnt recommend it or at least wouldn't recommend what we ate.
We did eat in the hotel bar two other evenings, the food was gorgeous there and I especially liked the fact that there was healthier options for kids such as pasta and that it wasn't all just nuggets/burgers and chips. Overall I would recommend the apartments especially for families and I would recommend the bar for dinner. We did have an enjoyable stay and would definitely return.More
