Description: The stylish Cellar One Restaurant is at the heart of The Ross with truly individual design features. Leading from the Pink Lounge down the elegant stairs into Cellar One Restaurant is impressive, and from here on your evening will continue in this same vein. Chef Ian McMonagle has beautifully combined local produce with international influences which will fall nothing short of offering gastric delight. As well as great creative flair there is a clear understanding of food & flavours evident all the way through this menu. From the Cromane Mussels steamed in coconut milk with lime and ginger to the Roast Peppered Breast of Skeghanore Duck served with braised red cabbage, baked apple, honey & orange sauce the creative flair and clear understanding of food is evident all the way through this menu.

We ernjoyed our meal here and the service was good. We headed for the bar after which was very busy. It was reasonably priced and the food was tasty.

“Fantastic dining experience with the WOW factor”
Reviewed 25 January 2012

I along with 11 friends had the meal of a lifetime recently in celler one. We are a book club group of ladies that frequent restaurants around Kerry on a monthly basis. The Celler One restarurant really came up trumps. The food, ambience and staff were all amazing. Every course was cooked & presented with perfection & excellence. We had the added little treat of champagne on arrival & of course a cocktail of choice which were all included in a very competitive price. Overall it was a superb evening surrounded with professionalism at its best!!

“If the chef had come out we would have given him/her a round of applause.”
Reviewed 24 January 2012

A group of us decided to to have our Christmas get together at Cellar One at The Ross Hotel, in downtown Killarney in December. We would probably have fun with each other anywhere we went, but what none of us could have possibly predicted was the food being the highlight of the night. When the food hit the table the conversation was all about the presentation, quality and exceptionally good taste of our dishes. One of the great joys in life is exceptional food with exceptional service. If the chef had come out into the dinning room we would have given him/her a round of applause. It's worth mentioning that the service from the staff was also top shelf. In this time of challenge for restaurants throughout Ireland it's a pleasure to see how this one has sharpened it's edge and is delivering a very good dinning experience. If you're in Killarney for a trip, eat at Cellar One, I highly recommend it.

“Great venue for a Christmas staff party”
Reviewed 19 January 2012

This was our second year in a row going to Cellar One for our Christmas party. The restaurant is very comfortable and the staff were friendly and very helpful. There was a great Christmas atmosphere in both the restaurant and the Lane bar. The menu had a great variety and i particularly enjoyed the clonakilty black pudding starter and the delicious brownie to finish it all off!
The Christmas spirit was so good in the bar after the meal that we stayed there till closing time. The cocktails were also gorgeous. I'll definitely be recommending it again for our party next year.

“Below average food - Above average price”
Reviewed 9 January 2012

Having eaten in the Aghadoe Heights and the West End House, this set the standard against which a meal in Cellar One would be judged. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the decor in the bar. This did not transfer downstairs to the restaurant. "Pimped up" decor which was cheap tat trying to look modern and edgy! The cutlery and table settings were cheap and not clean. The service was on a go-slow and not very attentive. The upholstery on the chairs/booths need to be replaced!!! Oh and the food was poor poor poor. Non imaginative and taste less! What was even worse was the price! Over charging at its worst! Hotel was obviously overcharged for the refurb and is passing this on to the customer. Only party that did well in the Ross was the contractor that is laughing all the way to the bank having made a fortune on the profit he made on the refurb!
