Travelled to Galway city for a few days with friends went to the White Gables for dinner one of the evenings and it was fab. Beautiful decor and nice little bar to have a drink while waiting on our table. Staff were amazing, atmosphere perfect and food was delicious. From start to finish couldnt fault this place. Thanks for an amazing experience

Travelled from Kerry to indulge in what has to be the finest dining experience we've had in Ireland.
From the moment we arrived the warm welcome we were afforded by everyone at White Gables was genuinely impressive. The impeccable service is second to none and makes you want to return again and again!. We were shown to the cosy bar area to peruse the menus and enjoy a chilled glass of Tattinger served with delicious olives & nibbles. Having been told of the specials we opted for the Scallops which were sublime...so so fresh! Followed by Duck a la Orange & Connemara Mountain Lamb with an abundance of fresh vegetables cooked to perfection. It was a delight not to see foam or froth on our plates this was really amazing food that didn't need any enhancements or disguises. 10/10. Deserts were exceptional and the pastry chef doesn't disappoint. The selection of Irish cheeses were perfection itself as was the port. Wines were recommended by the amazing Ann and quite possibly a little to drinkable !!! Oh the bread I forgot to mention the bread warm crusty with the creamy golden butter and freshly baked each day. We truly had the most magical evening at White Gables and would most certainly suggest you add White Gables to your Bucket List. We actually stopped off the following morning for coffee at Enjoy and got a sensational picnic to go but that's a whole other story !

The food is good without being fussy. The service is friendly and efficient without being overbearing, The decor is designed by your granny but to be honest it felt homely and warm unlike most restaurants. A little disappointed that we had no choice of veg (boiled and gratin potatoes, carrot and parsnip mix, broccoli) which were fine but a little bland and when paying top prices a choice should be available. The steaks(3 rib eyes) were well cooked and two of them great quality but one was over fatty. Seafood chowder excellent and value at €7.50, crab claws also excellent but €16.50 is 'Chapter One' pricing. Three starters, three steaks, one dessert, two vodkas and splits and two glasses of wine €160.

Wonderful dinner for two. A last minute choice that proved to be wonderful. Local flavor and atmosphere with absolutely delicious food. The seafood couldn't have been fresher and roast duck was everything we had heard. Will recommend to our friends who are traveling to Galway this Spring
