From the start to finish of our stay we enjoyed our stay. The staff were genuinely so friendly and helpful. Our breakfast was cooked fresh and also a full Irish buffet breakfast and continental breakfast available. The hotel ambiance was relaxed and inviting.

Having stayed in a few hotels without lifts or small but important conveniences, such as wifi and hot water, we were relieved to get to the House Hotel in Galway, which is very modern. A relatively short walk from the train station and well signposted, this hotel sets out to provide the atmosphere of staying in one’s home and the biggest compliment we can pay is that they succeeded. From the afternoon tea (book in advance) to the rapid dry-cleaning service (1 day, or even same day) to the 2 for price of 1 cocktails (mujitos very good) we had a relaxing enjoyable time. A great breakfast buffet with yogurt, fruit juices and pastries, as well as a full-Irish breakfast option, including black and white pudding and scrambled eggs. The service was quick and considerate, with every effort to accommodate timetables etc. Highly recommended.

The House Hotel is located on a quiet street a few steps from the Latin Quarter. We didn't find the House Hotel to be our favorite part of Galway but there are restaurant and trinket shops galore on the extended primary street.
Our room (suite 301) was large enough with bedroom window and a peek-a-boo Juliet balcony view of the commercial harbor. There was ample closet space (but oddly, no drawer storage). The modest bathroom works for one-at-a-time use.
The team was at all times helpful and willing to go out of their way for us. Don't miss a cocktail in the lounge. The bartender is creative and engaging. The breakfast options are extensive. We enjoyed talking with the wait staff about Galway and their personal backstories.

I had high expectations from the website and photos but from the moment I arrived I realised that this was not what I thought it was going to be. Lack of parking made check-in with luggage less than ideal, no help with luggage. Check-in was friendly. Room keys handed to me in a manky card cover (reused - eco-friendly but in the age of COVID was not ideal). The bin in the elevator made me think of BORAT's first hotel experience. The room was not up to scratch - bathroom was tiny and it smelled a little nasty. Windows were wafer thin and attempted double glazing didn't insulate the street noise very well. Breakfast was disappointing and like something from a cheap motel. On the positive side, discounted parking nearby (get a card from reception), and close to the tourist attractions in the city centre. Disappointing for the price.

Amazing hotel: Lovely and helpful staff, nice and clean rooms, nice breakfast (try the eggs benedict), perfect location. Hotels like this one are hard to find in Ireland.

We spent 3 nights at this perfectly situated hotel in the heart of Galway at the end of our Ireland trip. And while the accommodations are fine, the service and friendliness of the staff may have been one of the finest experiences we have ever had in years of traveling. Despite staffing shortages requiring many people to work double shifts, everyone was always smiling, friendly and going out of their way to help. They even made a last minute request for a birthday dinner for 10 happen when they were fully booked. Also, the food was excellent! I’m sorry I didn’t catch names, but can’t say enough good things about the front desk, bar and restaurant staff. If you get there soon, make sure to meet the 3 intern students from Italy as well…they will surely learn what good customer service looks like! Thank you again.
