Just returned home from a visit at this very comfortable and conveniently located hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful..a friend of ours has Celiacs and they did not have gluten-free beer so the staff advised him to go across the street to Centra and pick up some and they held it for him at the bar. Food is very good and the Toblerone cheesecake is amazing! Rooms are nice and roomy, however the carpets in the hallways a worn in spots. Would definitely stay here again

As my title mentions, this hotel's location is an unbeatable balance between just being out of the bustling touristy parts of downtown Galway but remaining walkable to everything in the town. While one of our more expensive stays on our trip to Ireland, the accommodations were generally fine. Upon arrival, the desk staff was a bit terse when asking us to wait (we hadn't said a word and were just waiting patiently for an acknowledgment, perhaps we just missed a large rush of other customers). Also, our room's garbage hadn't been removed from the previous occupant. So a few little things kept this hotel from getting 5-stars, particularly given its price-point.

We had the pleasure of staying at the wonderful 'parkhouse Hotel 'recently for three nights, we were warmly welcomed when we checked in, the receptionist was very informative of the facilities in the hotel, room was spacious and clean, very professional service in the bar and lobby areas, the restaurant was it's gem, menu's very extensive, 2 table d'hote and an a'la carte, they cover all tastes and dietary requirements, food was beautifully presented and the service was excellent, professional and unintrusive, the staff were well trained, breakfast was fabulous with a cold buffet and the hot breakfast was cooked to order, right beside eyre Square you are near many amenities, I would highly recommend staying here, great to receive good old Irish hospitality which we are renowned for, Jim and Jackie O'Connell
