We've been here before our exploration of Connemara. The place is intimate and authentic, the service is quick and kind, the food is absolutely excellent.
We had the irish mussels (still dreaming of them) and our first irish fish and chips (perfectly crisp and light). Reserve a table outside if the sky is blue! Please don't miss this small gem!

Dined here for a late lunch. Calamari was good but the seafood chowder was excellent. Best I've had in Ireland.

If you visit Galway, make sure to stop in for their seafood chowder. We have sampled all over Ireland and it’s the best!

I had the vegetable curry main with chicken and my companion had the goats cheese, we both enjoyed our meals after a long day of travelling. Gluten free was catered for well. Initially we were turned away but persisted and it was worth it. The calamari starter was gluten free so gave it a try but not the best calamari I've tasted. Good vale for money though.

We were lucky to grab an outside patio table as there was a line to eat inside the small restaurant. Staff was very friendly and noticeably attentive and we had a good dinner because they seemed to care about the food and restaurant...maybe owners or family was serving us, which made a noticeable difference. I had a lamb shank and a cider and it was good. A crab appetizer was tasty too, but on the small side. We walked around first and liked the choices here after reading other menus. Would recommend.
