Enjoyed our stay here for the June bank holiday weekend. Food was very good quality in bar & restaurant. Room was fairly basic. Outdoor hot tub very enjoyable feature. Shower in room was small & outdated & room could have done with a paint.

Terrible hotel staff useless filthy everywhere. Didn’t see anyone cleaning around the hotel. Staff very badly trained customer service is lacking big time. We were 20 mins waiting for breakfast. Eventually I had to call manager and told her we were passed about 10-15 times and not asked once if wanted tea coffee or did we want to order from the menu. We just got up and walked out and when I complained to manager at desk she was clueless. We had meal in restaurant the night before I had ordered salmon they arrived with chicken so had to wait another 15 mins. Staff in restaurant don’t look interested in serving just walking around looking for nothing to do.
I organised a private dinner in the Burren Suite for a group of American visitors on Sunday night. They were extremely impressed with the room, the food and the excellent service, one lady said it was the best meal she ever had. They were so impressed with the staff and the chef, he couldn't be nicer to them, explaining the food as they went along, they loved his sense of humour and how friendly all the staff were to them.
Well done everyone, this group will certainly spread the word of their positive experience in the Galmont Hotel, it makes our job a lot easier. Thank you

We stayed here for two nights and had booked a room with a sea view (costing an extra €20 per night). The room was clean with the biggest bed I've ever seen! It looked to have a small balcony off it however its not in use as it definitely wouldn't be safe. Attention to detail wasn't 100%, just small things like not replenishing the milk. The room was €450 for the two nights, this was room only price. If we wanted breakfast it would be an extra €60 (€15pp per morning).
I did use the spa which was really lovely and relaxing. If you plan to book into the spa, make sure to do so well in advance.
We were told on arrival that parking was also an extra €10 per night. Not sure if it was a mistake or not but when I went to pay for parking when leaving I was told there was no charge for it.
Location wise the hotel is very central but I feel there is better value to be had from other hotels in the city centre.

The only place in ireland we experienced poor or unfriendly service. We arrived at 5:30 in the evening after a long day if touring and our room was NOT ready. The gentleman was not forthcoming on why this was the case. Smug and poor communication. We eventually got our room 30-45 min later after complaining. We missed our dinner reservations at Loam. Have never experienced such service at a hotel. Do not recommend.

A few of us stayed on a short break recently. Disappointed we could not stay longer. Really enjoyed it. The staff were so pleasant and helpful at all times. Location is excellent just a short stroll from Eyre Square. Hotel was very busy during our stay but everyone went out of their way to help us and generally they were extremely efficient and welcoming. Great views from the bedrooms also.
