Hotel was great, food was excellent , staff was helpful and the beds were comfortable. The only down side was that parking was about a block away, and not well lit -- a little disconcerting for a late night check in .

Great location. Room was not serviced one of the days despite being out for the day and returning after 5pm. No complimentary water in the room or even water to be charged. Room was very warm with no Aircon, would be too hot in summer. Major disturbance from building site next door, woken up at 5.30am by building work.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for taking your time to review us. We are sorry to hear about your room wasn't serviced one of the days. I will pass your info to our housekeeping team. Regarding the water we have a vending machine on the ground floor or you could go to the bar where you could have bought a bottle of water. Regarding the noise from the construction site, usually they start their work around 8/8:30am. Looking forward to welcoming you again. Kind regards, Duarte Santos - Front Office Manager

We stayed at this property for 3 nights. It was well located within a 15 minute walk to any of the areas within the downtown area. Less to many restaurants in the area.

It was however located on a very busy street - our rooms 106 and 103 were facing the road and extremely noisy - we were moved to an inside room 210 and it was much better so keep that in mind.

The staff onsite were all very pleasant and the morning breakfast was good. There were some continental items and then hot items made to order.

The room was an adequate size. Bathroom had nice fixtures. However the room had no drawer space - not sure why.

Overall it was a good stay and is a recommended property for some time in Galway.

I've traveled Europe and the UK quite a lot and stayed in many hotels. Because I always give feedback on social media and in travel groups, I don't hesitate to be completely honest. Bad reviews travel fast; smart hotels don't forget that.

I've never recommended a hotel more highly than The Victoria. It's pricey but you're paying for a posh hotel in a prime location. For the time I booked, it was the best price for all hotels available near the city centre. At the moment, travel is eye-wateringly expensive pretty much everywhere. It's literally the price of traveling. I book near sites I want to see to avoid the price and hassle of transport. You get what you pay for.

This hotel radiates class. It positively gleams. Located around the corner from the train station and on Eyre Square, it couldn't be more convenient. Beds are comfy, housekeeping does a fantastic job, and there are loads of amenities.

The Victoria has a gastro pub so gobsmackingly good I recommend it to anyone not staying in the hotel, as well. The service and food are stellar.

I have nothing bad to say about The Victoria. Believe me, if I had anything negative I'd do so very loudly! But when you find a great place you want people to know about it. And this is a great place - chef's kiss.
