I've now stayed at this hotel on a couple of occasions, each time is better than the last. The staff are always very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable and well layed out but do need a bit of TLC.

Beware of this hotel as it doesn’t have air conditioning on all floors. Apparently, only the executive floor has AC in its rooms. Both the hotel site and third party booking sites do not specify that which is extremely misleading, I never would’ve booked this hotel if I knew there’s a chance of not having AC. We were provided a rotating fan in our room, but We had nice weather, so a fan is useless when the room was extremely hot, and it was just circulating the hot air around the small room. Opening the windows will not help. We slept horribly both nights and it is definitely not worth our money ($350 is definitely a ripoff for two nights). Park your car in the public parking lot and stay somewhere else!!!!

Stayed here for a few nights when staying in Galway. The weather was warm and the room had no aircon, therefore I needed to have the window open, my room was at the front of the hotel and the traffic noise was extremely intrusive. The hotel is rated as 4 stars and I find this hard to believe. I have stayed in many 4 star hotels that are far better. The room was only one step up from Travelodge, not that this is a bad thing but at least you know what to expect for the price you pay at Travelodge. The bar and restaurant are fine and there was a good breakfast on offer. I just feel that the price you pay and the star rating of this hotel are a little exaggerated.

Dear Guest,

We would firstly like to thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and for highlighting areas where we failed to meet your expectations, we are very disappointed about that, our sincere apologies. We feel that our hotel is tastefully decorated and understand this is not everyone’s cup of tea. There is air conditioning in our Deluxe Rooms which you can upgrade to at any time. We are also planning to renovate the existing standard rooms to include air conditioning in the near future.
Again we wish to thank you for taking the time to review the Galway Harbour Hotel and we do hope you return.

Kind Regards
Dominik SIetnik

we stayed at this hotel .we arrived to a nice welcome and the entrance into the hotel is beautifully designed. We arrived in the room which was spacious and comfortable. We went to have lunch which took a long time to arrive but was nice when it did . We went to the room for a rest and the room was very hot even though no radiator was on so we opened both windows but there was a generator or something making noise and this went on all night and was very annoying. Its such a pity as its a beautiful hotel. At breakfast the next morning the food was lovely but my sister asked for a fried egg and nearly had her food eat and no egg arrived , she asked again and the girl said its on its way 20 mins later the egg arrived. I think things need a little improving but it is a very nice and comfortable hotel

We're light sleepers & were quite disappointed with the loud street sounds flooding our room. There were no other rooms to move us to, so we were stuck. Too noisy & no view, what a deal. We won't be back.
