PROS: 1. well furnished room albeit extremely compact and comfortable bed. 2. excellent location although front facing room is noisy. 3. free wifi. CONS: 1. bathroom wasn't dirty but there was mold and mildew in shower and on walls and toilet rim was really dirty. The tray in bathroom wasn't wiped clean. The tray for the tea cups was dirty as well as the tea cups. 2. steep stairs for my elderly mother. 3. Her toilet was leaking. 4. street parking not free after 8:30am.
The burger box in reception and McDonald's bag in the hallway and lack of receptionist, not to mention the really dirty underside of toiletseat in reception bathroom made it feel like a hostal although priced like a hotel.

I was very disappointed after reviewing the web reviews with my girlfriend and I who stayed the weekend of Aug 6th here. The room was a bare minimum, there was no extra toilet paper (asked twice for it upon request), nor a hair dryer, wine glasses or wine opener. As a place in the city centre, it was really unbelieveable to not have basic ammenities like this that you'd expect for such a price and rating. Furthermore, there was no staff available on Sunday morning and despite confirming twice that check out was 12 noon, we had the cleaning staff pounding on our door at 11:30 AM insisting we must leave. Computer in the lobby barely worked at all, at least 10 years old and no investment has been made in the BASICS which was my funadmental issue with this place. Overall, I would never book here again nor would I agree with the majority of the review ratings.

This is a room only, no frills hotel, which is great value and in a good location. Beds are excellent, shower good, and the room was bright, comfortable and pretty quiet considering the central street location. Free wifi. Slight drawback in the steep stairs and no lift - we were glad we weren't on the second floor! Great breakfasts available in the Revive cafe next door. Parking is in the public carpark which is a five to ten min walk but not too expensive. Receptionist freindly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

We booked a 4 bed room for a Stag weekend. Manager Rang us before we arrived and advised he needed to move us upstairs. We agreed in principle as long as we were all in the same room and had same arrangements as we requested in oirignal bookings but would not like to make a decision untilwe arrived. We got there to find we were expected to fit 4 guys all over 6ft 2 inches into 2 small rooms with only a double bed in each room. When we explained we needed the room we originally booked we were advised it was given to a Hen party and that the extra people should sleep on the floor. We were expected to pay full rate for the rooms and basically told if we did not like it we can leave and they will sell the rooms! We ended having to book another room in another B&B. Almost ruined the Weekend.

All I can say is Manager is greedy and will screw over his customers for an extra buck.

M.

This was a far cry from the pictures on the web-site. First of all you have to climb a steep and narrow set of about 14 steps to get to the check-in. The front staff was very nice but wanted the credit card run as soon as we got there. I now understand why. My reservation was for a king room. Our room had 2 double beds, with very little room for anything else. In fact we used one bed to put our suitcase. The worst part was the bathroom. It smelled of wet paint and had obvious mold on the walls in the shower and on the ceiling. The shower was small and was by no means a power shower, barely any pressure.
On the plus side the bed was comfortable and there was coffee and tea available, along with plenty of towels. You are very close to the night life but then there is a very little area of Galway to go out in. Parking is free if you can find a place on the street, but have to move or start paying for parking by 0830 am.
I would never consider staying there again. The price and the bathroom are not worth it.
