Decided to eat here on a whim as we were staying at the g across the road and were too tired to go into town. Busy place, had a perfectly agreeable meal (fish and chips with the freshest fish) with no complaints. Nothing fancy, but good quality with lots of choice on the menu so would recommend.

We dropped in, told we could sit anywhere so we went into the restaurant, it wasnt very busy, we sat opposite the Till Section where 4 waitress's were standing and talking, after ten minutes of being ignored, not even offered a menu or asked if we wanted a drink we got up to leave at which stage a waitress acknowledged us, i explained that no one came near us and left.

I can understand waiting ten minutes for a menu if the staff are busy but they were talking to each other and not that bothered. We went across the road to Eddie Rocket's as we were going to the cinema and while the quality of the food may not be the same the staff were efficient, super friendly and the burgers were delicious.

We arrived in at 7pm. with a small child, we were made feel very welcome. The Staff brought out Crayons and a colouring book brought for my daughter.... Staff were so friendly and attentive.... Our food was just 'DELICIOUS'.... And even better the meal for my 2 year old daughter was just as tasty as ours.....Desserts were heavenly...

We stayed for one night while passing through Galway and were happy. Our room was not large but was well equipped and pretty comfortable. The breakfast choices were different to the norm and we enjoyed the change. One gets the clear impression that the hotel is an afterthought, ranked behind the bar/restaurant in importance to the management - the reception desk was seldom manned, and the 'receptionist' seemed to double as waitress and a cleaner for most of her time. Full marks to her, though, she did an excellent job despite all the challenges she seemed to face.
