We stayed in this charming old place at the end of October when my husband ran the Dublin Marathon. It is very spacious and full of character with beautiful details and furnishings throughout. The owner, John, was very quick to respond to our every question and a pleasure to work with. There is a lovely garden space in the rear with a nice big table and a grill, would have been wonderful to use in warmer weather. Beds were very comfortable and bedrooms were large, especially the master. Only slight drawback was the master is in the front and there was street noise as we were there on a weekend and it was the Halloween holiday (they like to set off fireworks for Halloween, who knew?!). There is a small grocery down the block and two larger ones less than a 10 minute walk away, by Parnell Square. We used the Dublinbikes rentals which are located at the end of the block. These were so convenient and very low cost. Walk to town center was easy as well, about 25 minutes. There is also a lovely craft beer pub at the end of the block which we really enjoyed. Highly recommend!
We were definitely charmed by this property, built in 1864. Centrally located, in a residential area, convenient to public transportation. Weather was a bit too chilly for us to enjoy the garden but it would be fabulous in the summertime. Even though the house is antique, everything works perfectly - plenty warm and plenty of hot water, reliable WiFi. The kitchen would be rather small for 6 people, but we were only 3 so no problem. Thanks for a lovely stay!
This is a very charming cottage, well decorated and equipped, within a 15 minute walk of the centre of Dublin. The owner was very helpful and easily contacted. We are a family of 6 and there was plenty of room for us all.Would recommend it.
Fifteen minutes walk into town for many places of interest, shops and eating places, this interesting property has spacious accommodation,is beautifully decorated with fascinating pieces of art and is very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and John, the owner, greeted us with cakes, milk, coffee and tea etc . He recommended local restaurants and put the heating on for us when the weather got cooler. We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here.
Great apartment. Plenty of space. Beautiful garden. The owner was very helpful and available via text or cell if needed. Not right downtown but located within walking distance of major Dublin attractions. Neighborhood is quiet since it's a bit out of the center. The LUAS light rail extension is less than a block away once that is operative. Highly recommend.
