Having just played and beaten Ireland at the Aviva stadium we wondered what kind of reception we were going to get. Wearing our Welsh football shirts it was great to be complimented on how well our team had done. Lovely atmosphere and great people. Thank you.
We didn't stay here so just reviewing it as a pub.

Came right from the airport and found the bus stops right across the bridge from the hotel...within walking distance to everything. Classic Irish hotel...no elevator...loved it...great staff, friendly service, pub downstairs, deli next store. Felt safe, comfortable, and even tea in the room! Stay here for great price, true Dublin experience. I know where to stay now when I return!

We enjoyed staying at the Ferryman hotel for 2nights the position was good for us —great new dock area around the corner to eat. About 20 min walk to the centre of town. Our room was comfortable and bathroom dated but fine. The staff were so helpful and even met us at 6.15 am to make sure our taxi arrived.

We are looking out the window to a great view of the lights of the convention centre and the canal. The room is good sized, with two beds together to make a "king" with individual bedding. There is coffee/tea making facilities, vanity desk area, someplace to put your suitcase, closet. It feels pretty comfy to us.

The bathroom is a good size and everything works.

There is a good standard of cleanliness.

Breakfast is missing a little -- no fruit, tomato, mushrooms. But they made us what we ordered and it kept us going for most of the day.

The thing about this hotel is that it is over a long-established Irish pub. The noise from the pub hasn't bothered us at all. The staff have been super helpful, even to offering 6 euros to feed the parking meter when we had the car parked overnight. Whatever we have asked for -- they have given it.

Also the airport bus and other transport is just at the door.

This is an older building, and you can appreciate that, or complain about it. We appreciate it. Yes, the stairs are steep and you have to carry a suitcase up one or two levels. This isn't fun, but it was doable and we are both pretty old.

We are astounded at the position of this hotel, the helpfulness of the staff, and the roominess and comfort of the room. We are pretty happy about out choice.

Room tip: Great views from windows facing canal

It is a Historic Pub, so with that in mind there is NO Elevator and I was on the 3rd floor, Thankfully one of the Bartenders took pity on me and helped me carry up my luggage. As a solo traveler the room was small with a single bed but it was clean and tidy. There was a lot of construction going on all around the area so there is not much to see. There are other places to eat across the Liffey River along with the stop for the Airport bus. The ON/OFF bus system is right there and it was super easy to use. Breakfast was good, Evenings were loud and entertaining and the beer was great. If you paid in full bring your receipt with you.

Room tip: rooms on the backside of the hotel are quieter with a view of buildings
