Just had a lovely lunch here, 2 adults& 2 teens - 4 happy customers! Something for everyone. Simple but delicious food and very friendly staff.

Our first visit to this very nice local restaurant came as a result of the temporary closure of a local alternative and we were so happy for that sequence of events. The venue is small but has a breezy Hamptons kind of colour palette. The food is interesting in terms of menu composition with a little something for everyone. I had the home made fish sandwich which was simply delicious. The unobtrusive but attentive staff helpfully treated me to a side of black pudding and toast which topped off the meal for me beautifully. The second visit was just as successful. The food was just as good and on this occasion I had a piece of the outstanding cake. I believe the two guys who served us on each occasion are the owners and from my experience they couldn't have been more attentive and kind. If I could offer a suggestion it would be to enclose the kitchen space behind glass and give the staff aircon. Otherwise - very happy to return.

Had lunch here with partner (and no kids which was a rare treat!) and was left very underwhelmed. Pretentious food with small portions and they aren't afraid to charge!! They need to revisit their offering or they'll be closed within the year. It's a local restaurant in the suburbs and should cater for locals with nice good food. Sometimes people just want a tasty panini etc and not rabbit!! I live 5 min walk away and just wouldn't go to it.

Dined here recently. Very disappointing, restaurant not busy, service poor, food awful & we were severed not as ordered! Felt we were overcharged, staff not interested! Will definitely not be retuning! Advise - give Farmhill Cafe a mis! How can places like this survive.

Farmhill cafe is a little off the beaten track, nestling in a suburban setting of the Goatstown Road. The cafe is light and airy altough not particularly big. The first thing you notice upon entering the cafe is a warm welcome from staff who who seem to like working there.

The lunch menu offers a decent enough choice and is complemented by some specials. It was one of the specials that I tried for lunch, seafood tagliatelle. Portions were generous and there is a lot of seafood mixed in with the pasta. The sauce which covered the dish was light and tasty.

There is a selection of five or six items for desert and the mini chocolate pot was very tasty. and well worth trying.
