The Noggin Inn in Sallynoggin Co Dublin is a public house, which serves carvery style food .
I said 'old fashioned' deliberately as this establishement serves items such as corned beef and cabbage ,marrowfat peas and stuffing and gravy. However the menu has plenty of choice and on a recent visit I had an exellent tasty and quite hot flavoured chicken curry. The corned beef and cabbage I am most reliably informed is delicious with that 'old fashioned' taste. My last visit was on the previous Sunday when I had the roast beef which was beutifully cooked acconpanied by green cabbage , marrowfats , carrots and gravy, all washed down by a few pints of porter. This venue is very popular with locals and people of all age groups and if you wish to take away food the staff will happily oblige, they also supply smaller plates for childrens meals .It has to be said that most of us eat by mood and preference ,I love most foreign foods but sometimes an old time dinner does the trick, the food here has a homemade quality and taste which a lot of carvery establishments fail miserably to offer.........A great place to eat and no silly greedy prices, top marks !!!
